Last weekend there was something special and new on the elooa program. Together with K2, we went to the elooa FREERIDE ENJOYER CAMP on the Stubai Glacier. And after a long absence, Mrs. Holle was generous and sent us an incredible 70cm of powder in the Stubai Valley right on time on Friday!

The camp on the Stubai Glacier was aimed at all powder enthusiasts who already have freeriding skills and feel comfortable in deep snow. They were equipped if needed with the latest K2 freeride boards from the Landscape series and avalanche safety equipment from BCA, as well as being coached by experienced freeride pros and accompanied through the powder by our certified mountain guides. We started on Friday evening with an exhausting and long journey due to the fresh snow that had fallen.

Incredibly great conditions with deep powder and bright sunshine awaited us on Saturday morning. Due to the avalanche risk of level 4 on the scale, we had to switch from the Stubai Glacier to a ski area in the valley in the morning, where we were able to shred our lines through varied terrain in deep snow. Visibly overjoyed but also exhausted, all participants returned to the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoyed the wellness area to regenerate.

Sunday was cloudy with a few rays of sunshine but the avalanche danger level dropped, so this time we were able to go up to the Stubai Glacier as planned. In the extensive glacier ski area, we were able to enjoy countless backcountry runs through deep powder from the very top to the valley station. Back in the afternoon at the parking lot of the new Eisgratbahn, beaming faces looked back on the weekend full of deep snow before the unanimous response was: "Thank you elooa for the great camp and see you next time!"

A great freeride weekend came to an end and we are already looking forward to the next elooa camps - hopefully with you too!
