Last weekend we went for the first elooa FREERIDE BASICS CAMP presented by BLUE TOMATO to Montafon. In addition to a certified elooa snowboard guide, a yoga teacher, a professional photographer and filmmaker as well as the Blue Tomato Pro Riders and coaches Annika Bartmann and Severin Willmann were there.

After checking in on Friday afternoon, the camp started straight away with an extensive yoga session. After dinner there was a lovely welcome evening including an LVS workshop in our accommodation, the Alpstadt Lifestyle Hotel in Bludenz. This meant that the participants were able to start the weekend together relaxed, get to know each other and were well prepared for Saturday. Full of motivation and well equipped with the latest Nitro Snowboards and avalanche safety equipment from BCA Backcountry Access, we went together to the Silveretta Montafon ski area on Saturday with amazing conditions, fresh snow and sunshine. After a few warm- up powder runs, avalanche safety training was on the agenda before we went off into the terrain in small groups. Depending on the level, the participants could decide which group they would like to be in. With safe conditions and under the supervision of the professional elooa guides, valuable tips were given and everyone was able to enjoy the dream day to the fullest. With tired legs we went back to the hotel in the afternoon where we intensively regenerated with a yoga class. After dinner there was a video analysis and the participants who impressed our coaches the most received valuable prizes from our partners. What a big day!

On Sunday we went to the ski area again fully motivated in bright sunshine and a perfect day awaited the participants. With the newly learned knowledge, there was a real backcountry run in small groups with our snowboard guide Moritz on the program. Another day with endless powder runs and turns. A lot of fun determined the daily routine and thanks to professional photographers and filmmakers, everything will be remembered forever.

The elooa FREERIDE BASICS CAMP was a complete success and everyone had a lot of fun. Many thanks to all participants, partners and the Silvretta Montafon ski area. We look forward to the rest of the season!
